JACoW Team Meeting 2014: Tuesday, 13 to Friday 16 January, 2015

Local Host Organization: Australian Synchrotron

The 2014 JACoW Team Meeting will be hosted by the Australian Synchrotron, Melbourne, Australia.

It will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) in the centre of the city, from Tuesday to Friday lunchtime, 13 to 16 January, 2015, plus an optional excursion on Friday afternoon, 16 January.

The Team Meeting Proper will be preceded by a closed meeting for SPMS Developers and Super Users on Sunday and Monday, 11 and 12 January, 2015. A programme is being developed and the persons concerned will be contacted separately.

The 2014 Programme will include oral presentations, tutorials and a poster session devoted to reports from all conferences organised in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

A preliminary programme has been entered, assuming speakers from among Team Members. Please log into the instance to check presentations.

The SPMS instance above has a link to Delegate Registration. The Registration Form lists the parallel sessions offered this year. When registering, please enter the parallel sessions you would like to attend. Christine will work out a schedule to allow participants to attend as many sessions as possible.

Hotel accommodation is being arranged at the Great Southern Hotel in the centre of the city. A possibility to rent self contained apartments is also offered. See more details under Accommodation.

Team Meetings are organized for Team Members in line with the JACoW Terms of Reference and Boundary Conditions. Attendance at Team Meetings is a boundary condition for membership of the JACoW Collaboration, and publication of conference proceedings at the JACoW site.

The programme offered at Team Meetings however not only covers electronic publication issues, but it also addresses the wider field of conference organisation (SPMS, InDiCo, delegate and exhibitor registration, organisation of OC/SPC meetings, etc.) as well as the very complex IT issues. Attendance is therefore open not only to editors, but to all interested in the above. JACoW Team Members should pass on this information to their colleagues on the LOC.
