What is the best way for me to learn Indico?

Visit JACoW's documentation site for detailed information about using Indico. We transitioned from SPMS to Indico in March 2025. The linked site above also includes detailed information to assist authors with this transition and includes a glossary with SPMS and Indico terminology.

How do I submit an abstract?

Sign into the Indico event and look for an abstract submission form. Every conference can have slightly different ways of organising abstracts, so please be aware of the specific directions for the Indico event to which you are submitting. How do I edit an abstract?

To edit your abstract, sign into the Indico event and look for "Call for Abstracts" in the Indico menu on the left. This menu selection allows you to submit new abstracts and view abstracts you have already submitted. Visit the editing page on the JACoW documentation site for more details.

How do I edit contributions?

Abstracts that have been accepted by the Scientific Programme Committee become contributions. Contributions are assigned a room, presentation date/time, duration and programme code. Once you are signed into the Indico event, look for the "Contribution list" menu item. Visit contributions on the JACoW documentation site for more details.
