System Parameters: E-Dot Board

When papers are processed during a conference, editors assign a coloured dot to indicate the status:

• Green dots for papers that have been successfully processed.
• Yellow dots for papers that required work by the editors and that call for proofreading by the authors.
• Red dots for papers that could not be processed.

The E-dot screen is displayed on a monitor near the proceedings office for authors to consult the status of paper processing.

The system parameters used to set the appearance of the electronic dotting board are set at

• Overall Database Administration / System Parameters / E-dot Board

The appearance of the dots, for example, their colour, size of the graphic image, etc., is set via the screen

• Editor/Proceedings Administration / Processing Status Codes

The status of the processing is visible via the screen

General / Reports / Electronic Dot Board

It is necessary to tweak the parameters of the two screens

to ensure that the e-dot board fits the monitor used at the venue.
