JACoW Team Meeting 2021 ------ 13 - 17 December ------ Trieste, ItalyThe 2021 JACoW Team Meeting will be hosted by Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste. Since Elettra will be hosting FEL2022 and IPAC'23, this will be an excellent opportunity for the organisers to become familiar with JACoW organisational activities. This year's Team Meeting will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Trieste, from Tuesday 14 (afternoon) to Friday 17 December, and be preceded by a Pre-Team Meeting by invitation only for the JACoW Management, SPMS and Indico Developers and Super Users on Monday and Tuesday, 13 and 14 December. A Team Meeting Working Group, coordinated by Christine Petit-Jean-Genaz is currently preparing for this year's Team Meeting with in particular David Button developing the TM'21 programme together with the Board of Directors, and Roberta Casson is managing the local arrangements. Attendance at Team Meetings: Team Meetings are organized in line with the JACoW Terms of Reference and Boundary Conditions. Attendance at meetings is a boundary condition for membership of the JACoW Collaboration and publication of conference proceedings on the JACoW site. The JACoW model ensures the sustainability of JACoW as accumulated knowledge and expertise is shared with newcomers who in turn provide the training for their successors. IMPORTANT: Since last year's Team Meeting was cancelled due to Covid-19, this year's meeting is even more important for organisers of the events planned in 2022, 2023 and beyond. The Board is aware that due to travel restrictions in many regions, in-person attendance will not be feasible for a number of Team Members. It has been decided therefore to provide basic training via zoom and streaming. Since this comes at a cost, it will be necessary to call on all Team Members to ensure a fee is paid, either for in-person participation, or for remote participation. Programme: The TM'21 programme will cover not only electronic publication issues, but also the wider field of conference organisation (SPMS, Indico, delegate and exhibitor registration, organisation of OC/SPC meetings, etc.) as well as the very complex IT issues. Pre-Team Meeting: An invitation only pre-team meeting for the JACoW Management, SPMS and Indico developers and super users, will be held on Monday and Tuesday, 13 and 14 December, also at the DoubleTree by Hilton Trieste. Special Kickoff Session: Prior to the Team Meeting proper, a special kickoff session will again be held for all participants at the DoubleTree by Hilton Trieste on Tuesday 14 December afternoon. Accommodation: A block of rooms is being reserved at the the Hotel DoubleTree by Hilton Trieste. Registration: Delegate registration will be done via an Indico event based at CERN. |
